Rhys (He/Him) is a queer, trans, singer/songwriter from Sydney, Australia.

Rhys started out as a musical theatre performer, studying at “Brent Street” in Sydney, “New York Film Academy” in NYC, and lastly gaining their Master’s degree in MT from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. All the while, they were writing songs in their bedroom and uploading homemade music videos to YouTube.

With the completion of their studies, Rhys is excited to focus more on their music writing and their debut EP, “The Blue EP”, will be releasing this September.

Rhys’s music brings a grounded, yet ethereal, sense of yearning. “The Blue EP” explores the journey of finding oneself through their 20’s. From wishing to be someone else, to discovering you have time to find who you truly are, this collection of songs takes us through a journey of self discovery and growing up.
